Job Title: Librarian

Location: JP Nagar, Bangalore

About the Position:

We are currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Librarian to join our team at a CBSE school in JP Nagar. The ideal candidate will be passionate about promoting a love for reading and lifelong learning among students, and will have the ability to manage and organize library resources effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the school library and ensure it is well-organized, stocked, and conducive to learning.
• Assist students and teachers in finding and accessing library materials, resources, and information.
• Promote reading and literacy initiatives, and encourage students to develop a love for reading.
• Catalogue and classify library materials using appropriate systems and tools.
• Maintain accurate records of library resources, loans, and returns.
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into the curriculum and support classroom learning.
• Conduct library orientations and instructional sessions to teach students research and information literacy skills.
• Stay updated on new books, resources, and technologies relevant to the library field.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Information Science, or a related field.
• Previous experience working in a school library or similar setting is preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in computer and library management software.

Salary Range: INR 25,000 – 35,000 per month

Note: Final salary will depend on experience, qualifications, previous salary, and performance in the interview.
