Job Title: IBDP ESS Teacher (Environmental Systems and Societies)
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Sahakar Nagar, Bangalore
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced IBDP ESS Teacher (Environmental Systems and Societies) for our International school located in Sahakar Nagar, Bangalore. The ideal candidate will be passionate about environmental science, dedicated to student success, and capable of delivering engaging lessons in the IBDP ESS curriculum.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver comprehensive lessons in Environmental Systems and Societies for IBDP students.
- Develop and implement inquiry-based teaching methods to foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and participation.
- Integrate interdisciplinary approaches to explore the complex relationships between environmental systems and human societies.
- Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative assessment methods.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials, assessments, and interdisciplinary projects.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student learning and development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Geography, or related field.
- Minimum 3-8 years of teaching experience, preferably in an International Baccalaureate (IB) school setting.
- Experience teaching the IBDP Environmental Systems and Societies course is highly desirable.
- Strong subject knowledge and expertise in environmental science concepts, theories, and methodologies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to integrate technology and real-world applications into the curriculum.
Salary Range: INR 60,000 – 75,000 per month
