Job Description: Biology Teacher for ICSE School – Kolar, Karnataka

Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Biology Teacher to join our team at an ICSE school located in Kolar, Karnataka. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience teaching Biology in an ICSE school setting. The teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Biology lessons to students in 9th and 10th grade, ensuring their understanding of biological concepts and fostering a love for the subject.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver Biology lessons in accordance with the ICSE curriculum guidelines and school policies for students in 9th and 10th grade.
• Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students and enhance their understanding of biological concepts, including laboratory experiments, multimedia presentations, and hands-on activities.
• Assess student learning through regular quizzes, tests, assignments, and other forms of assessment, and provide timely feedback to students and parents/guardians.
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, respected, and encouraged to participate actively in their learning.
• Foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and scientific inquiry among students through inquiry-based learning approaches.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary teaching units and integrate relevant technology into Biology instruction.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and other school-related activities to enhance teaching practices and contribute to the school community.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and school administration regarding student progress, concerns, and achievements in Biology.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biology or related field is required.
• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) qualification is mandatory.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching Biology in an ICSE school.
• Strong knowledge of the ICSE curriculum and assessment practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Proficiency in using educational technology for instructional purposes.

Salary:
The salary for this position is up to Rs. 35,000/- per month. The final salary will depend on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, current salary, and performance in the interview.
