Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Primary EVS (Environmental Studies) Teacher with a strong educational background and a passion for teaching to join our school in Chikkamagaluru. The ideal candidate will hold an MSc and BEd and have a minimum of 4 years of experience teaching Environmental Studies at the primary level. This role requires a dedicated educator who can create an engaging and inclusive learning environment for young students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Environmental Studies for primary-level students.
  • Develop lesson plans and teaching materials aligned with curriculum requirements.
  • Foster an interactive and supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Monitor, assess, and document students’ academic progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Conduct classroom activities, projects, and discussions that enhance students’ understanding of environmental topics.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians about students’ progress and development.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development programs.
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and respectful classroom setting.

Requirements:

  • MSc in a relevant field, along with a Bachelor of Education (BEd).
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Primary EVS Teacher.
  • Strong knowledge of primary-level EVS curriculum and teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Passionate about environmental education and able to inspire young minds.
  • Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
