Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced TGT English Teacher with a strong background in English language and literature to join our school in Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in English, a BEd, and at least 6 years of experience as a TGT English Teacher. We are looking for someone who is passionate about education and capable of fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver comprehensive English lessons that align with curriculum guidelines.
• Foster an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active learning and critical thinking.
• Develop lesson plans, assignments, and assessments that support students’ learning and development.
• Provide individualized feedback and support to students to help them achieve their academic goals.
• Monitor and assess students’ progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting on their performance.
• Manage classroom behavior by implementing positive behavior management strategies.
• Engage with parents and guardians through regular communication to discuss students’ progress and address any concerns.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support a cohesive and dynamic educational environment.
• Stay updated on best practices in teaching English and incorporate them into classroom instruction.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree (MA) in English.
• Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree.
• Minimum 6+ years of experience as a TGT English Teacher.
• Strong knowledge of English language, grammar, and literature.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
