Job Title: Hostel Warden

Location: Trivandrum, Kerala, India

Salary: ₹45,000 to ₹60,000 per month (Final salary depends on experience, qualifications, and interview performance)

Job Description:

An International school located in Trivandrum, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Hostel Warden to join our dynamic team. The Hostel Warden will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and discipline of students residing in the school’s hostel facility. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, a compassionate demeanor, and a firm but fair approach to enforcing rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and monitor the daily activities of students within the hostel premises.
2. Implement and enforce hostel rules and regulations to maintain discipline and order among students.
3. Ensure the safety and security of students at all times, including during recreational activities and study hours.
4. Address any behavioral or disciplinary issues promptly and effectively, following school policies and procedures.
5. Foster a supportive and inclusive environment within the hostel, promoting mutual respect and cooperation among students.
6. Coordinate with school administrators, teachers, and support staff to address any student concerns or emergencies.
7. Conduct regular inspections of hostel facilities to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance standards are upheld.
8. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, incidents, and any relevant information related to hostel management.
9. Provide guidance and support to students as needed, acting as a mentor and role model for positive behavior and academic success.
10. Collaborate with parents/guardians to address any concerns or issues related to their child’s stay in the hostel.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with children or adolescents in a residential setting is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff members.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle conflicts or emergencies calmly and efficiently.
• Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in student support services.
• Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies outside of regular working hours, if necessary.
