Job Description
Job Title: Theatre / Drama Teacher
Location: CBSE School, Sarjapur
Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Performing Arts / Theatre / Drama or relevant field
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in teaching theatre or conducting drama workshops in schools
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of acting techniques, stagecraft, scriptwriting, and direction
- Ability to train students for school productions, drama competitions, and events
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for creative arts and working with children
- Familiarity with integrating theatre in education (TIE) approach is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular theatre/drama classes across grades
- Prepare students for annual day programs, inter-school competitions, and stage performances
- Develop creative lesson plans to build confidence, expression, and collaboration in students
- Collaborate with other faculty members during cultural events and projects
- Encourage student participation and creativity through theatre activities
