Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Primary English Teacher to join our school in Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu. The ideal candidate will have a BA and BEd, along with a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in English. The teacher will be responsible for creating an engaging learning environment that promotes language development and a love for literature in young students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons in line with curriculum guidelines.
• Develop lesson plans that enhance reading, writing, grammar, and communication skills.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and encourages student participation.
• Assess students’ progress through regular assignments, tests, and evaluations.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them improve their language skills.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students’ progress and development.
• Manage classroom behavior by establishing and maintaining discipline in accordance with school policies.
• Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive educational approach across subjects.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in English language teaching.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in English (BA).
• Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience teaching English at the primary level.
• Strong understanding of language teaching methodologies and curriculum development.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
• Patience, creativity, and passion for teaching.
• Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the school community.
