Job Description:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced IGCSE Economics Teacher to join our international school in Belgaum, Karnataka. The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s degree in Economics (MA) and a Bachelor of Education (BEd), with a minimum of 5 years of experience teaching Economics in the IGCSE curriculum. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Economics lessons, fostering a love for the subject, and preparing students for success in their examinations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective Economics lessons for IGCSE students.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet IGCSE curriculum standards and are tailored to the learning needs of individual students.
• Use a variety of teaching techniques and resources to ensure students gain a deep understanding of economic concepts, theories, and principles.
• Prepare students for IGCSE Economics examinations, ensuring they are well-equipped to achieve their best results.
• Assess and evaluate students’ progress through assignments, tests, and examinations, providing constructive feedback.
• Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters critical thinking.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in teaching Economics and integrate these into lessons.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive educational environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding students’ progress and areas for improvement.
• Participate in school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Economics (MA).
• Bachelor of Education (BEd).
• Minimum 5+ years of experience teaching IGCSE Economics.
• Strong knowledge of the IGCSE Economics curriculum and assessment standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create engaging and interactive lessons that foster student understanding and interest in Economics.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
• Experience in preparing students for IGCSE Economics exams with a track record of strong student results.
