Job Description:

We are looking for a talented and passionate Theatre Artist to join our CBSE school in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The ideal candidate should have a degree in any discipline along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in theatre arts. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting theatre workshops, organizing drama events, and fostering students’ creativity and expression through the performing arts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and conduct theatre classes and workshops for students of various age groups.
• Introduce students to the fundamentals of acting, stagecraft, voice modulation, and scriptwriting.
• Prepare students for school theatre performances, drama competitions, and events.
• Foster creativity, confidence, and communication skills in students through theatre and drama activities.
• Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate theatre arts into the broader school curriculum.
• Organize and direct school plays, skits, and drama productions.
• Encourage students to explore diverse roles and characters, enhancing their emotional and social understanding.
• Maintain a positive and engaging environment in theatre sessions that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and artistic growth.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in theatre and performing arts to bring innovative ideas to the classroom.
• Mentor and guide students in improving their acting and stage performance skills.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students during rehearsals and performances.

Requirements:

• Degree in any discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Theatre Artist or Drama Teacher.
• Strong understanding of theatre techniques, acting, stagecraft, and direction.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for nurturing creativity, confidence, and self-expression in students.
• Ability to lead and manage theatre productions, from rehearsals to final performances.
• Experience in teaching or working with school-aged children is preferred.
