Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Head Physical Education Teacher to lead the Physical Education Department at our CBSE school in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The ideal candidate will have an MPhil in Physical Education and over 10 years of experience in managing and teaching physical education at the school level. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and overseeing the school’s physical education curriculum, ensuring that students have access to a well-rounded and engaging physical education program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Physical Education Department, ensuring that all programs align with CBSE standards and promote overall student fitness and well-being.
• Develop and implement physical education curriculum, lesson plans, and activities for students across all grades.
• Supervise and mentor a team of PE teachers, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
• Plan and organize sports events, competitions, and extracurricular activities to engage students in physical fitness and teamwork.
• Monitor and assess students’ physical abilities and development, providing constructive feedback and individualized support as needed.
• Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for physical activity, promoting the values of sportsmanship and teamwork.
• Manage the school’s sports facilities, equipment, and resources, ensuring that they are well-maintained and utilized effectively.
• Collaborate with school leadership and other departments to integrate physical education with the overall academic and extracurricular programs.
• Stay updated on the latest trends, techniques, and developments in physical education, incorporating best practices into the curriculum.
• Communicate with parents regarding student progress and participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events.

Requirements:

• MPhil in Physical Education.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience as the Head of the Physical Education Department in a CBSE or equivalent school setting.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a team of PE teachers and sports staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Deep understanding of physical education pedagogy, sports training, and fitness development.
