Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Special Educator Teacher to join our CBSE school in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (UG/PG) along with a Diploma in Special Education. With at least 5 years of experience, the candidate should be adept at supporting students with diverse learning needs, tailoring educational plans to help each student thrive in an inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide direct instruction to students with a wide range of disabilities, including learning disabilities, developmental delays, and behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to modify lessons, activities, and assessments to meet the diverse needs of students with special requirements.
• Conduct assessments to evaluate students’ strengths and areas of development, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Work closely with parents, teachers, and school administrators to ensure students’ progress and create strategies for improvement.
• Utilize a variety of teaching techniques and resources to support students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment where every student feels supported and valued.
• Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, and professional development activities.
• Stay updated on best practices, new developments, and techniques in the field of special education.
• Maintain detailed records of students’ progress, behavior, and achievements to ensure effective monitoring and reporting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (UG/PG) in Special Education or a related field.
• Diploma in Special Education is mandatory.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Special Education Teacher.
• Strong understanding of special education laws, practices, and teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to work with students of varying needs and abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators, therapists, and parents.
