Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate PGT English Teacher to join our CBSE school located in Electronic City, Bangalore. The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s degree in English (MA) and a Bachelor of Education (BEd) with over 5 years of experience in teaching English at the senior secondary level. The successful candidate will have a strong command of the English language and a deep understanding of English literature, with a commitment to fostering a love for language and literature in students.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English language and literature lessons for senior secondary students (11th and 12th grades) in alignment with the CBSE curriculum.
Develop and implement lesson plans that engage students and cater to their diverse learning needs.
Utilize a variety of teaching methods and instructional materials to make learning interactive, engaging, and effective.
Assess and evaluate students’ progress through assignments, tests, and examinations, providing constructive feedback.
Prepare students for CBSE board examinations by providing rigorous academic training and support.
Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and a love for reading and writing.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to update them on students’ progress and address any concerns.
Participate in school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development opportunities.
Stay updated with the latest educational trends and best practices in teaching English.

Requirements:

Master’s degree in English (MA).
Bachelor of Education (BEd).
Minimum 5+ years of experience as an English Teacher, preferably at the senior secondary level.
Strong knowledge of the CBSE curriculum and educational best practices.
