Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Special Educator to join our school in Vidyaranyapura, Bangalore. The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field, with over 5 years of experience in working with children with diverse learning needs. The successful candidate will be committed to creating an inclusive learning environment and providing individualized support to students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, tailoring learning experiences to meet their specific requirements.
Provide direct instruction to students with disabilities in areas such as academic skills, social skills, and life skills.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt and modify curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate students with diverse learning needs.
Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students’ strengths, challenges, and progress.
Work closely with parents, teachers, and school administrators to monitor and communicate students’ progress and develop effective strategies for support.
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and resources to engage students in the learning process.
Provide training and support to teachers and staff on strategies for working with students with special needs.
Stay updated with the latest research, trends, and best practices in special education and apply them in the classroom.
Participate in school meetings, case conferences, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Special Educator.
Strong knowledge of special education laws, practices, and techniques.
Experience in developing and implementing IEPs.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with students with a wide range of disabilities and learning challenges.
Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students achieve their full potential.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
