Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced School Counsellor to join our school in Vidyaranyapura, Bangalore. The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in providing counseling services in an educational setting. The successful candidate will be dedicated to supporting the mental, emotional, and social well-being of students, helping them navigate academic and personal challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students to address emotional, social, academic, and behavioral issues.
Develop and implement programs to promote mental health awareness and well-being among students and staff.
Work closely with teachers, parents, and administrators to identify students in need of additional support and provide appropriate interventions.
Assist students in developing coping strategies, problem-solving skills, and resilience.
Maintain confidential records of student interactions and progress, ensuring privacy and adherence to ethical guidelines.
Conduct workshops and seminars for students, parents, and staff on topics related to mental health, stress management, and personal development.
Collaborate with external professionals, such as psychologists and social workers, when necessary, to provide comprehensive support to students.
Participate in school meetings, case conferences, and professional development opportunities.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of counseling programs and make necessary adjustments.
Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in school counseling and mental health.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a School Counsellor.
Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, mental health issues, and educational psychology.
Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build trust and rapport with students, parents, and staff.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Experience in conducting workshops and seminars on mental health and related topics.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
