Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate English Teacher to join our international school in Mysore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching English at the IGCSE A Level and will be dedicated to fostering a love of literature and language in students.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver comprehensive English lessons in line with the IGCSE A Level curriculum.
Utilize diverse teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with varying learning styles.
Create an engaging classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, discussion, and exploration of literary texts.
Prepare students for IGCSE A Level examinations through focused instruction and assessment.
Continuously assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
Stay current with educational best practices and developments in the IGCSE curriculum.
Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development activities.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall academic experience for students.
Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
Teaching certification or relevant qualification is preferred.
Proven experience teaching English at the IGCSE A Level in an international school setting.
In-depth knowledge of the IGCSE curriculum and examination requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and engage students in the study of English language and literature.
Strong organizational and classroom management abilities.
Proficiency with educational technology and digital teaching tools.
