Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and organized School Librarian for a reputed CBSE school in Marathahalli, Bengaluru. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of library management systems and experience working in a school environment, preferably CBSE.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the school library, including cataloguing, classification, and circulation of books.

• Develop and update the library collection in alignment with the CBSE curriculum.

• Assist students and teachers in locating reference materials and resources.

• Promote reading habits through library activities, book fairs, and reading programs.

• Maintain records of books, journals, and digital resources.

• Ensure proper upkeep and discipline within the library.

• Coordinate with faculty to support academic and research needs.

• Implement and manage digital library systems and e-resources.

• Prepare reports and maintain library inventory records.

Requirements:

• M.Lib.Sc degree (mandatory).

• Minimum 3+ years of experience as a School Librarian.

• Familiarity with CBSE curriculum and academic resource requirements.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Knowledge of library software and digital cataloguing systems.

• Passion for promoting reading culture among students.
