We are seeking an experienced and passionate Middle School Social Studies Teacher to join our esteemed school in Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching Social Studies within the CBSE curriculum, fostering a stimulating and engaging learning environment for students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Social Studies lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum.
- Use innovative teaching methodologies to make history, geography, civics, and economics interactive and meaningful.
- Develop lesson plans that enhance critical thinking, analytical skills, and a deeper understanding of historical and social concepts.
- Assess student progress through tests, assignments, and projects, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain discipline and ensure a positive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and participation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-disciplinary learning activities.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration regarding academic performance and behavioral expectations.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
- Stay updated with CBSE guidelines and incorporate best teaching practices.
Requirements:
- Educational Qualification: BA/MA in History, Geography, Political Science, or a related field, along with BEd (Bachelor of Education).
- Experience: Minimum 4+ years of teaching Social Studies in a CBSE school.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Passion for teaching and the ability to engage middle school students effectively.
